The project, taking into account Zambia’s local climate and practical needs, employed a customized enclosure design that balances structural stability, economy, and long-term durability.

Project Specifications and Structural Highlights

As a crucial infrastructure for local manufacturing and warehousing, this industrial workshop adhered to Canglong’s high standards in material selection:

Spatial Dimensions: The project’s precise dimensions are 40m × 30m, with an eaves height of 8m and a total building area of ​​1200 square meters.

Main Frame: Utilizing a classic portal frame design with no unnecessary internal columns, it allows for flexible planning and maximized utilization of the 1200 square meter space. High-strength H-beams are used for both beams and columns, ensuring strong load-bearing capacity and a stable wind-resistant structure.

Secondary Structural System: The roof and wall secondary structures employ precision-machined C-shaped steel purlins, providing a robust skeletal network for the overall building.

Unique Enclosure Design

Addressing the temperature variations and sunlight characteristics of parts of Africa, the project employs a composite wall structure for its enclosure system:

Lower Brick Wall + Upper Steel Plate: The workshop’s walls utilize a combined design. The lower section consists of robust solid brick walls, providing excellent impact resistance, security, and good thermal insulation. A small section at the top connects to lightweight color steel plate, reducing foundation load and cleverly improving overall construction efficiency.

High Weather-Resistant Roof: The roof is uniformly covered with a single layer metal sheet. The surface of the panels is treated with a high-performance anti-corrosion coating, easily resisting Zambia’s intense ultraviolet radiation and concentrated rainfall during the rainy season.
